Your Code is Version 5.0, But Your Brand is Still in Beta
Tech and SaaS companies tend to outrun their own brand. Product evolves quarterly; the website lags by 2 roadmaps. Bonfire Red brings the brand current with the build — so customers, analysts, and acquirers see the platform you actually ship today, the pipeline catches up to the product, and the website stops being the place where the roadmap goes to die.
FRESH PERSPECTIVE IN A SEA OF GRADIENT BLOBS
Tech branding has developed a familiar visual language — gradient-heavy, abstract interfaces, the same isometric illustration of a person at a laptop, and the same headline promising to ‘transform your workflow.’ Our approach is to differentiate you from the rest. Especially now, as AI is at the helm of design and dev, and every site nowadays uses the same recipe exported from the same AI — we help our clients gain sharper category positioning, more honest visuals, and copy that survives a procurement review.

OUR SPEC SHEET
The tools we use to help tech companies ship products and services that command attention.
Brand Strategy & Category Definition
Bonfire Red defines the category the product competes in, the customer it actually serves, and the differentiated position the company can defend. The work includes competitive analysis, customer interviews, and a positioning framework the go-to-market team can put to work immediately.
Brand Identity Systems
Bonfire Red builds full visual and verbal systems — typography, color, motion, voice, illustration, and product UI alignment — so the brand reads coherently from the marketing site to the in-product experience. A living, breathing style guide keeps the system consistent as the company scales.
Interactive & Digital Platforms
Bonfire Red designs and builds fully branded sites engineered for AI-findability, conversion, and clarity. We design and develop ADA-compliant tools and websites that are intuitive and built for long-term growth, ensuring your story and your systems move as one.
Content & Acquisition Enablement
Bonfire Red produces the assets that actually move through your brand ecosystem explainer films, customer story films, sales decks, ROI calculators, comparison content, and category education. Content is structured for both human readers and AI answer engines.
Prototyping & Roadmapping
The brand that got the company here is rarely the brand it needs next. We help leadership teams see that future clearly — turning internal ambitions, market shifts, and ‘we should probably talk about this’ conversations into fully realized prototypes and a concrete roadmap. So when the time comes to move, the team isn't starting from scratch.
THE RIGHT STORY IGNITES YOUR BUSINESS
Most companies don’t come to us because they lack capability. They come to us because what they've built hasn’t been written into your story yet — new services, broader scope, a more strategic role than their brand suggests. The tech shipped. The story stayed put.
01 SCIENTIFIC PRECISION
THE SMARTEST CO-PILOT IN AVIATION
Dragonfly needed to move from a small SaaS startup to a globally respected authority in high-stakes risk assessment. We built a comprehensive brand ecosystem and product suite that positions them as the industry’s most precise data engine. This sophisticated, unified brand allows users — from pilots to regulatory officials — to confidently deploy the smartest risk-mitigation technology available.
02 UNIFIED ACCESS
A RESEARCH POWERHOUSE FOR THE COMMUNITY
Open OnDemand needed to transform from a complex technical tool into an accessible gateway for high-performance computing. We re-architected the digital experience to turn a fragmented information hub into a purpose-driven "Knowledge Exchange". This scalable platform simplifies the science, making world-class research tools easy to navigate and use for students and faculty alike.
03 STRATEGIC SHIFT
FROM PRINTING LEGEND TO DATA EXPERTS
We designed and executed the digital platform for Baesman's strategic shift, bridging their 70-year print legacy with their evolution into a data intelligence leader. Our brand storytelling and UX/UI upgrade, combined with original photography and video, humanized their advanced technology. This created a digital presence that shifts their market perception from a tactical vendor to a strategic partner, allowing them to command premium advisory relationships instead of competing on print margins.

FAQs
Answers to common questions about working with Bonfire Red in the tech space.
We build WCAG 2.1 AA level compliant experiences without sacrificing rich visual aesthetics or interaction design. Accessibility is built into our digital strategy and design systems from the beginning, ensuring your platform is functional for every user on every device. Additionally, we’ve produced ADA compliant experiences for The Ohio State University that has passed the most stringent testing available.
Yes. We take what your technical leadership knows and turn it into clear, credible content — from executive interviews to technical storytelling videos. Everything we produce is built to support your specific narrative and move prospects to action.
Project timelines depend on the specific scope of work. Building a comprehensive digital platform usually takes between 18–22 weeks, while a brand positioning engagement typically takes around 8–10 weeks. But, with AI being introduced to our web stack, things are getting done faster. Depending on the lift, we establish a clear roadmap before work begins.
Yes. Bonfire Red regularly works with engineering and product teams, and Bonfire Red writers are comfortable interviewing technical leadership. Technical accuracy gets sharpened, not softened. The result reads as credible to a developer audience while remaining accessible to economic buyers and analysts.
We treat AI-findability as a structural decision, not a metadata add-on. The team applies structured markup, llms.txt files, schema documents, and authoritative content writing so the platform appears in AI summaries, answer engines, and citations, alongside traditional SEO performance.
The customer. Always. Technology is an enabler, not a north star — it should deliver the right experience to the right consumer, not drive what we create. We partner with companies that value a customer-centric approach and prioritize features that provide real value, not features that exist because the platform supports them. The product roadmap follows the audience, not the other way around.
We use AI where it earns its keep. That means content creation, code, and fast prototyping — a way to get sharper ideas in front of clients sooner, not a shortcut to skip the thinking. We use it for scrubbing site content to produce current-state sitemaps, wireframing with mock content, transferring still layouts into responsive HTML, schema documents for AEO and GEO optimization, headline and CTA iterations for tight spaces, best-practice research, and QA reviews for spelling, visual, and ADA compatibility. What matters most is the designer, writer, and creative director making the calls on what fits and what needs reworking. That judgment is our life's work — and AI doesn't change who's making it.
We start with the consumer — qualitative and quantitative research, stakeholder and industry expert interviews, deep work on the pain points and needs across audiences. From there we build interactive prototypes so users can test-drive the core architecture before any brand language is added. Once that lands, we layer on the brand copy and visuals, bringing everything to life based on the customer analysis. Then we put it back in front of users for testing. The brand follows the experience, not the other way around.
Commerce UI is a science, not decoration. It's the right recipe of image cropping, size and ratio, color, font size and weight, negative space, and line spacing. A lot of digital shops overdesign, and what's left is a junk drawer of competing sales and discounts.
Our approach works in three parts:
- Work with the system, not against it — we think of ecommerce the way we think of a great store, with clear wayfinding and promotions surfaced at the right moment without overwhelming the path to product.
- Mobile first is how we find the truth — designing at pocket size forces the hard decisions early, and everything from tablet to desktop gets cleaner once the smallest screen holds up.
- And brand personality is what gives clean UI its warmth — copy that speaks with confidence, specs surfaced where they're needed, and a color system deployed with enough intention that the page feels guided, not cluttered.
We become part of the internal IT crew. We assess current tech, custom solutions, investment, maintenance, scalability, integration, and your team's skills — then build to fit, not to fight. Our default is Agile/Lean — small, meaningful updates shared regularly to keep everyone aligned. If Agile isn't your vibe, we adapt. We kick off every engagement with a deep dive to understand the brand, product, audience, goals, and success metrics — and to get to know each other as people. From there it's regular check-ins through Zoom, Slack, and Wrike. You know your business, we know ours. Together that's a team worth having.
Yes, and it's becoming one of the more common reasons tech companies come to us. The talent market is competitive, and the careers page bolted onto the bottom of a corporate website isn't doing the work anymore. We treat workforce attraction as a real strategic discipline — not a recruiting microsite, but an extension of the brand. The same storytelling that makes the product appealing to customers can make the company appealing to the people who build it. We've done this work in adjacent categories — Kalmbach Feeds built a careers experience around their high-touch culture that competes head-on with global giants for technical hires — and the same principles apply when the talent in question is a senior engineer choosing between three offers. The company's brand is the recruiting tool, whether the company treats it that way or not.
ENGINEERED TO DELIVER
The product is real. The brand should be too. At Bonfire Red, we align the marketing with the platform you actually ship — so the pipeline reflects the product, and your company stops feeling like the best-kept secret in the category.
