Dr. Shari Hicks-Graham came to us with a unique and exciting dream of creating her own haircare system. Already a well-respected dermatologist in Columbus, Ohio, Shari created LivSo to meet the needs of textured hair. Its unique formulation treats dry, itchy scalp while respecting the special qualities of kinky or curly hair.
The Process
Bonfire Red partnered with Shari from the beginning to help build the brand from scratch. The "Livso" name was created using a mix of her children's names: Olivia and Solomon. However, we found that the "Livso" name also inspired customers striving to live beautifully. The typographical mark created for Livso emphasizes the vertical strokes and the contrast between fine and thick lines, representing the diversity of hair textures the products were designed to improve.
Packaging Design
A first for Bonfire Red, we custom designed and managed Livso's form factors, bottle colors, and complete haircare set design. We chose colors that evoked the all-natural ingredients Livso sourced for their products, as well as creating custom textured "waves" as backgroud elements on each bottle.
Digital Experience
Livso is a fully-responsive animated site with seamless page transitions. We set out to provide a tranquil and beautiful experience for Livso customers. We wanted the site to mimic the effortless beauty Livso haircare provides.
LivSo Legacy
Livso has become a fast-growing haircare brand since launching the website. Livso has been featured in Allure, Essence, and countless beauty blogs. We are proud to have helped this Columbus-based start up, and are excited to see what the future holds for Livso.
