Joey Zornes is a designer, strategist, and storyteller with a genuine passion for craft and culture. Armed with a B.F.A. in Graphic Design from Savannah College of Art and Design, he's spent well over two decades shaping digital experiences and brand platforms that actually connect and cut through. His journey began in 1998 as a digital designer, creating web and CD-ROM experiences when digital was still finding its footing. From 2002 to 2011, he helped guide design teams at Resource Interactive, partnering with global brands like Hewlett-Packard, Victoria’s Secret, Shaw Floors, Sherwin Williams, and Wendy’s to push what was possible in the digital space.

In 2011, Joey and Chris Rinehart saw something missing in the agency world—a middle ground between freelancers and big agencies. They launched Bonfire Red with a clear vision: build something different that values craftsmanship and better serves clients. Over fourteen years, they've grown into a multi-award-winning creative studio that works with everyone from determined startups to Fortune 500 brands such as Aston Martin, NetJets, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, and The Ohio State University. As Creative Director, Joey worked to embed thoughtful creativity into Bonfire's approach, guiding teams and clients toward work that resonates and endures.

Now, in 2025, Joey is focused on a brand close to his heart: Bonfire Red itself. As Head of Brand, he's shaping Bonfire's presence in the industry, refining its strategic vision, and evolving its offerings for clients who value authentic creative partnerships. At heart, Joey's just someone who loves building—whether it's brands, teams, or ideas that resonate. And in this next chapter, he's helping ensure that Bonfire Red continues to shine brightly in a crowded marketplace.

### Branding isn't overhead. It's infrastructure.

A prospect is googling you before agreeing to a meeting. A PE firm pulls up your website during diligence. A top candidate scans your LinkedIn before returning anyone's call. Your brand is already in those rooms — the question is what it's saying.

### The Alignment Gap

You've built something real, with dialed-in operations and a great team. But why isn't it adding up? The wrong opportunities keep finding you, and the right talent isn't calling back.
