 For more than forty years, Boundless has provided people with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD) and behavioral health challenges the freedom and opportunity to live boundless lives. They approached Bonfire Red seeking a digital experience that reflected the diverse, vibrant population they serve, while also providing information and integrated technology in an accessible way.

### Color Systems & Iconography

Boundless offers a wide variety of services through a family of nonprofit companies. To help differentiate between the numerous categories of services, we introduced a color system that would help organize their content, providing users a subtle visual queue as to where they are within the site. Custom iconography was created to further organize and establish a visual heirarchy between the multiple levels of content.

### Easily Updatable

An important piece of the new Boundless website is it’s abillity to be easily updated. As the company scales and works to offer more services, they needed a website with a flexible content management system that could grow and expand alongside them. Therefore, the robust open source content management system, Drupal 9, was implemented to provide the scalability needed all within a user-friendly interface.

### A Solid Foundation, Highly Accessible

Bootstrap is at the core of the site’s grid structure allowing for an intuitively responsive experience, while Pantheon serves as its easy-to-manage hosting platform. GSAP, ScrollMagic and ImageMagick work together to develop fast and nimble animations with highly optimized outcomes, alongside several other third party integrations working behind the scenes to ensure the best user experience. Without sacrificing the rich visual aesthetic, we were able to build a beautiful WCAG 2.1 AA level compliant experience for users with visual, hearing, motor, and cognitive disabilities.
